The History of Islamic Medicine
Islamic Medicine in Practice
What is Islamic Medicine?
Over two millennia, Muslim doctors and nurses, inspired by the Quran and Sunnah, have been on the forefront of efforts to alleviate worldwide human suffering, cure disease and advance knowledge. With the medical age advancing at warp speed, it is easy to overlook the contributions of Islamic Medicine to making the current medical practices where they are today.
More than half of all adults and children have at least one chronic health condition, and the numbers are growing at an alarming rate. If we continue at the current trajectory, by 2025, eighty percent of all children will have at least one chronic condition and 1 in every 2 male will be on the autism spectrum! The secret to healing humanity lies within the Quran and Sunnah and Islamic Medicine.
